On hot tub cover
And then I just have to wonder how much intelligence or secret agent work consists of so much killing. Rain meets a woman who is apparently working for the Mossad, Israel's intelligence service, but is afraid she'll kill him just for being in her way, even though he's working for the CIA, though as a contract worker not an employee. Still, don't they cooperate in the field? Eisler did work for the CIA for several years, but I have to wonder how much is authentic and how much is him making the story better than reality. One of the CIA's other contract workers does say business is good since September 11, and I'm sure the US government has secretly killed some bad guys. There is a lot of martial arts info here too, and I can't question that, because Eisler is far more informed on that than I am. Still, good reading when you're sitting under a hot tub cover.
