pets and bird flu

If you've read my book How to Protect
Yourself and Your Family From Bird Flu you may remember that I wrote
a section on bird flu and pets -- and expected some readers to react
less than favorably -- because some pet owners are
fanatics who'd rather get rid of their kids than
their cats or dogs.

Well, a cat in Germany just died from bird flu and
here's a link to learn how the authorities are
reassuring you.

Something to remember -- that cat died of bird flu
in its current form. Which people are catching
from having extensive contact with infected chickens.

Nobody can say whether or not you can get it from
extensive contact with an infected dog or cat.

The scary part will come when bird flu mutates into
a highly contagious form.

Although nobody can say for sure exactly what will
happen then, it's likely that if you can the virus
from another person, you can catch the same virus
from dog or cat.

The virus doesn't care who sneezed or coughed it
into the air -- a friend or Fido, A/H5N1 doesn't
care!

So I do implore you to follow my advice -- when
there's a pandemic or, if you're in an infected
area (now including Africa and Europe), you'd
better keep your pets isolated now.
