Now bird flu's in Africa
And so bird flu keeps spreading --
to the place we feared it would,
Africa.
bird flu found in Nigeria
Apparently it is -- so far -- only in
chickens.
Or maybe only ACKNOWLEDGED in chickens.
After all, I'm sure African children love
to play with the chickens roaming their
villages just as much as Asian and
Turkish children -- so how long before
an African child starts showing flu
symptoms?
Or how long before we discover that?
After all, how many children are miles
from the nearest clinic? And will the
nearest clinic be able to tell it's
bird flu instead of malaria (which seems
to the favoriate "catch all" diagnosis
in the tropics.)
They're culling chickens, but how far
has it spread already?
Stay tuned . . .
